The Idiot Box

Why does everyday news on news channels and newspapers only talk about the political games of the netas only ? The very same netas who are to be blames for the mess, appear on news channels to provide sermons on the issue !

I really don't need it. The screaming, accusations, ignorance and more on TV. Can we just get to know they have done in the past week to improve roads, provide electricity to cities and villages, open new hospitals with doctors and more of the issues that affect me on an everyday basis.

How does watching these news clips help me ? Does it matter who sits on the chair, since all he is interested is to make his Swiss bank account fuller and leave....at our expense !

Karnataka is a pure case of political natakas(dramas) we are so used to. Let me break it down in layman terms. An ex CM who was chargesheeted for raping the State's resources was removed after a lot of political wranglings and a new CM posted. But, yes this is where it gets interesting, the tainted ex-CM is still more powerful and if he cannot get back on the chair he has placed his proxy CM there ! WOW ! And all the while the tainted ex CM is all over the news as if he is a saint !

It is time for the MORATORIUM on all news political to teach these netas a lesson. Please change channels to watch Discovery, NatGeo or something you can enjoy with your family !

every news channel has some Planetarium staffer or anyone with long hair and gray beard to go on endlessly about how a space-rocket is launched to how it is so beautiful up there...


YES WE KNOW ! Sunita has built was born in the US, studied there, joined US Navy there, joined NASA (there) and all that we can do is ADOPT HER FOR HER FAME !


Anyone outside India who does well is made a demi God and eulogies are written about them, just because we achieve orgasm just by adding the prefix "Indian-" to their actual domicile !


Kalpana Chawla did herself, US and NASA proud and now it is Sunita. We must not only adopt her for fame, but adopt her as an idol to inspire our generation to become astronauts. But have we ? Ever since Wing Commander Rakesh Sharma who flew to the space in 1984, we have'nt had a single astronaut male or female..so SHUT UP and start buidling up an infrastructure which inspires us all to throw up a new generation of desi astronauts !


Being a proud Indian, I am more interested in making a hero of the person who is making cheap scientific toys for the poor, cleaning the Ganges, providing medical cover to the poor than open a champagne to someone who 4000 kms away has reached the space due to her hardwork and sincerity.
