I would elated if you could leave a comment as well, as this will allow me and us all, to see the topic in a different perspective.

Maoist problem.....a great article.

Pakistan is way smarter than us diplomatically as well in Foreign Trade !

Hearing a lot of tough talk these days against Pakistan, I decided to check how much we meant what we say. I wanted to inquire the trade relations between an emerging power like us and a country in economic shambles. This is one place where we can dictate terms, since they would need us more than we need their trade avenues. But guess what ? Here too they beat us ! And more importantly THEY keep us begging for a Most Favoured Nation status, which we have accorded them already ! Ha....

From the figures, it clearly emerges that Pakistan, once again trumps us in Trade as well ! While we have been keeping up the peace and business efforts and being rebuked on the MFN Status, Pakistan has grown their Exports to us by 75%, while we have managed to grow our Exports to Pakistan by merely 28% !! So much for our brains in the Finance Ministry ! Such a trade imbalance in the favour of greatest adversary....what more can I say !
All this bluster starts sounding so hollow.......

The hottest places on Earth

THE world is getting warmer. Globally, the ten hottest years on record have all been in the past 15 years. And national records are being broken too as climatic extremes are becoming more common. On January 8th, America's National Oceanic and Atmospheric Adminstration announced that 2012 was the country's hottest year yet. The average national temperature of 55.3°F (12.9°C) was 1.0°F (0.6°C) above that of the previous warmest year in 1998. Last year was also the second most extreme, as measured by an NOAA index of weather extremes that includes temperature, precipitation, hurricanes and the like. Only 1998 was more variable. Australia is also experiencing some unwanted extremes.

Samsung's new Galaxy S2 ? Why ?

Samsung Galaxy S II Plus revealed with dual-core 1.2GHz CPU and Jelly Bean

Samsung just unleashed a new phone into the world, but you've probably heard of it before: it's the Galaxy S II Plus. The handset serves as a modest update to the original Galaxy S II, which contains a 4.3-inch WVGA (800 x 480) Super AMOLED Plus display, a 1.2GHz dual-core CPU, 1GB RAM and Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean). Naturally, you'll find an 8-megapixel camera on the rear, which is complimented by a 2-megapixel front-facing shooter. The Galaxy S II Plus will include 8GB of built-in storage, in addition to support for microSD cards up to 64GB in size. Expect to find HSPA+ (21Mbps) support across the 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100MHz bands, which will be augmented by GSM support for the 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900MHz bands. Pricing and availability have yet to be announced for this refresh, but we'll be sure to let you know once we have additional details.

I wonder why Samsung would release an upgrade to the S2, when all we are looking forward to is the new S4 ?!
