Torrential rains triggered a flash flood in Genoa overturning vehicles and carrying them to the middle of the road. Storms killed at least six people and flooded parts of the city after torrential rain ravaged nearby coastal areas. Authorities described the situation as “ extremely serious” and urged people to be careful. Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi blamed illegal constructions for the floods and said efforts should be made that such an incident doesn’t happen again.
